Eric grew up in a Christian home in coastal North Carolina and came to Christ as an early teen. He completed a BS in Computer Science at East Carolina University and has worked in the technology sector ever since, primarily as a software engineer.
Eric enjoys singing and playing a handful of instruments. He has been blessed to serve in the church’s music ministry most of his adult life, as well as sing in independent choirs. He gladly serves as the tech lead for Emmanuel and prays that God will instill in him the necessary wisdom and fortitude.
Eric and his wonderful wife, Dr. Christine Kohnen, have joyfully raised two delightful children. After many years in Minnesota, the family moved to Knoxville, where Eric thanks the Creator daily, usually after opening the Weather app.
In addition to music and his family, Eric enjoys mountain biking, target practice, and the sound of large V8 engines.
